At Banana Moon Kempston, we are always looking for new ways to enrich our learning environments and provide children with exciting opportunities to explore, imagine and discover. We were delighted to introduce a brand new play house to our outdoor area, giving our Babies, Teenies and Mini Moons another wonderful space to learn through play.
Role play is an important part of early years development, allowing children to recreate familiar experiences, invent their own stories and express their ideas with confidence. Whether pretending to run a café, welcome visitors into their home or embark on exciting adventures, children develop valuable communication, language and social skills as they play together.
The play house also encourages collaboration, helping children learn to share ideas, solve problems and take turns while creating imaginative scenarios. These everyday interactions support confidence, independence and positive relationships with their peers.
As part of our Early Learning and Development Programme (ELDP), open-ended resources like the play house allow children to lead their own learning, make choices and explore their creativity in meaningful ways. Every play experience becomes an opportunity to build new skills while having fun.
At Banana Moon Kempston, we believe thoughtfully designed environments inspire children to become curious, confident learners. We're excited to see the many adventures, stories and friendships that will continue to grow inside our new outdoor play house.
