Celebrating St George’s Day at Banana Moon Kempston

Celebrating St George’s Day at Banana Moon Kempston
At Banana Moon Kempston, the children recently enjoyed celebrating St George’s Day with a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the nursery.

The children explored the celebration by creating their own St George’s flags and taking part in a range of red and white themed activities. Creative activities like these help support children’s fine motor skills, creativity and self-expression while encouraging them to learn more about cultural celebrations and traditions.

As part of the day, the children also enjoyed a special English-themed menu. Meals included crumpets for morning snack, a full English breakfast at lunchtime, strawberries and cream for pudding, and a traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches, vegetable sticks and homemade scones with jam.

Celebrating special occasions within the nursery provides valuable opportunities for children to learn about the wider world, explore traditions and develop curiosity through hands-on experiences.

At Banana Moon Kempston, we enjoy creating meaningful activities that encourage children to learn, explore and celebrate together in a fun and engaging environment.
