Exploring Nature with Stick Insects

Exploring Nature with Stick Insects
At Banana Moon Kempston, the children recently had a wonderful opportunity to observe some fascinating creatures up close when one of our families kindly brought real-life stick insects into the nursery.

The children were able to carefully look at and even gently hold the insects, learning how delicate they are and how important it is to treat living creatures with care and respect.

Experiences like this provide valuable opportunities for children to explore the natural world and develop curiosity about different animals and habitats. Observing living creatures also encourages children to ask questions and learn through first-hand experiences.

By introducing children to nature in this way, we help nurture an early understanding of respect for the environment and living things
