Helping Babies Settle Into Nursery Life

Starting nursery is an important milestone for both children and their families. At Banana Moon Kempston, we work closely with parents to ensure that every child has a smooth and comfortable transition into nursery life.

Recently, we welcomed several new babies into our Under 2’s room, and we are delighted to see how well they have been settling in.

We understand that leaving your child for the first time can feel daunting, which is why we offer a minimum of three settling-in sessions before a child’s official start date. These sessions allow children to become familiar with the nursery environment, their carers and the daily routine.

During the settling period, each child is supported by a dedicated key person who spends time getting to know their interests, routines and individual needs. This helps to ensure that every child feels safe, secure and comfortable.

We also share regular updates and photos through the Banana Moon parent platform, helping families stay connected and reassured during those important first few days and beyond.

Our aim is always to create a nurturing environment where babies feel happy, confident and ready to explore their new surroundings.
