Pancake Fun for Shrove Tuesday

The children at Banana Moon Kempston had a wonderful time celebrating Shrove Tuesday with a fun morning of pancake activities.

The children started by making their own pancake pictures, giving them the opportunity to explore shapes, practise using tools to draw and cut, and express their creativity.

Of course, no Pancake Day would be complete without trying a few flips! The children had great fun practising their pancake flipping skills using frying pans, which brought lots of laughter and excitement to the activity.

At snack time, everyone enjoyed choosing from a variety of toppings for their pancakes. This also gave us the chance to talk about healthy foods and balanced choices, helping children understand that treats can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.

It was a delicious and engaging way to celebrate the day while supporting children’s learning and development through play.
